MOUNT KILIMANJARO
The highest mountain in Africa, and the highest single free- standing volcanic mountain in the world. Towering to an altitude of 5895m above the sea level and about 4900m above its plateau base. This stratovolcanic mountain massif is found within Kilimanjaro national park. It has 3 volcanic cones KIBO (dormant), MAWENZI and SHIRA (DEAD) Marangu route is the most popular route by name COCA-COLA route because the route is popularized as easy and cheap, the only route that offers sleeping huts in dormitory style bunk beds. It’s scenic due to ascent and descent of same route and a gradual slope. Even the unexperienced and unprepared climbers can hike. The 6-day radiant provides goodtime for acclimatization due to a rest day at HOROMBO HUT. Communal during hall, washrooms, and toilet are available. Make sure you bring enough of your own water, soft drinks, beers and many more making your hike to be more comfortable.NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA This area is worldwide known for the strongholds, unique features, teeming with wildlife, Olduvai Gorge located in the Ngorongoro for those interested in understanding the early origins of humankind. Louis and Mary Leakey discovered this place on 17th July 1959. In these four world’s largest intact and unfilled volcanic calderas, Irridiscent Empakai Crater, the shifting sand, all these experiences are there waiting for you.
SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, also a wide heritage site and recently proclaimed a worldwide wonder, its famous for its annual migration where millions of herbivores traverse through the 30000km2 Serengeti-Mara ecosystem plodding in clockwise direction looking for green pasture, termite mounds may be seen towering the plains, large buttressed fig trees, lots of predators prowling the plains, large granite rocks, the kopjes where rock hyraxes and lizards to scuffle around a host vantage points for the meat eaters as well as sunbathing stations. A park hosts the highest density of lions and home to big five mega carnivores and mega herbivores.
ITINERARY DETAILS
DAY 1
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA), you will be picked by a member of DASSIE SAFARIS and transferred by road to hotel or similar for dinner, an overnight bed and breakfast. .
DAY 2
MARANGU GATE (1843m)-MANDARA HUT (2700m)
Pick up from hotel (Moshi/Arusha) after breakfast and transfer to MARANGU GATE (1843m/6046ft). After registration start hiking heading to MANDARA HUT (2700m/8775ft) for lunch, dinner and overnight. Distance covered ±8km and 4-5 hrs. On reaching your destination (MANDARA HUT) here you will experience the serene and untouched nature of montane forest where it is located on the border of the forest belt, just below Maundi Crater.
After a rest, your guide will take you to the Maundi crater where you can enjoy wonderful views of Lake Chala and Jipe, Usambara and Amboseli national park but only if the weather is clear. Trails are well established that you trek excellently, flora and fauna are present here.

DAY 3
MANDARA HUT (2700m)-HOROMBO HUT (3720m) This day continues through the heather to Horombo hut (3720m). At this very destination you will have a glimpse of the grotesque views of MAWENZI and KIBO peaks respectively. Dinner and overnight stay at HOROMBO HUT. .
DAY 4
HOROMBO HUT (3720)-ZEBRA ROCKS From HOROMBO HUT (3720m) have a relaxing breakfast, only to rest and acclimatize to the high altitude and reduces chances of altitude sickness, though you can trek to zebra rocks a 3-4 hours trek from the HUT. It was called so because of its distinctive black and white stripes appearing to carry the zebra pelage. After enjoying the rocks, return to HUT for a hot lunch then relax waiting for the hike the following day. Meals and overnight stay at the HOROMBO HUT. .
DAY 5
| HOROMBO HUT (3720m)-KIBO HUT (4703m) After a warm breakfast at HOROMBO HUT, continue with the trek to KIBO HUT (4703m) whereby it should be reached in 6-7 hours. Distance covered here is about 9-10km. being tough you will pass through a plant less table land linking the KIBO SUMMIT WITH MAWENZI with dinner and overnight. .
DAY 7
DESCENT; UHURU PEAK (5895m)-KIBO HUT (4703m)-HOROMBO HUT (3702m) After summiting the mountain, the descent follows the same path and the lava ash will now thawed and allows for a fast descent. On reaching the KIBO HUT have a warm meal, rest for 2-3 hours break before continuing trekking down to HOROMBO HUT arriving here in the afternoon. Dinner ad overnight stay at HOROMBO HUT. A distance of about 16km from Uhuru peak to Horombo. .
DAY 7
HOROMBO HUT (3702m)-MARANGU GATE 1843m The last stage of descending down passes through Horombo-Marangu gate then, before reaching the gate lunch meal will be provided at Mandara Hut (2700m). After a short break proceeding to the Kilimanjaro national park gate. Then transfer to the hotel Moshi/Arusha, for dinner and overnight stay. .
DAY 8
After a warm breakfast at the hotel at 0800am, transfer by road to FOUR SEASON SAFARI LODGE in Serengeti National Park. Enjoy lunch at picnic site and dinner and overnight at lodge. DAY 9
After a warm breakfast at lodge at around 08:00am, start a full day game drive within Serengeti with lunch at picnic site, explore the central Serengeti in advance and enjoy its very best sub destinations including the retima hippo pool where seronera and orange rivers converge, the pool is a home and refugee to large pods of roughly 200 swashing, playing hippopotami. Seronera river valley, moru kopjes among other places in central Serengeti gives you a sense of being fully immersed in the African wilderness. After lunch start a short game drive while driving back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at four season safari lodge. .
DAY 10
After a hearty breakfast at the lodge at around 8:00 am, start a drive and do a full day game drive in the northern Serengeti, lobo valley and other northern Serengeti sub destinations, lobo valley “paradise” is one of the only places in the park where all three big mega carnivores do roam, the lions, leopards and cheetahs respectively. During the wet spells the great migration pass through this area adding the taste of your stay in this very point. Bologonja springs tucked away in the north-east corner of the Serengeti near the border of Kenya’s Masai Mara nature reserve and this is a magnet to animals (July/November). With lunch at picnic site, after lunch drive to NIMALI LODGE for dinner and overnight stay. What we love about the lodge is its accessibility and reliable services.
DAY 11
AAfter a warm breakfast at the lodge at around 0800am, start a drive to SERENGETI SERENA LODGE in Serengeti National Park for dinner and overnight stay. What we love about Serengeti serena lodge is its outstanding and reliable classic service from their charming staff, location is the best at it is set high hence commanding panoramic views across the great Serengeti.
DAY 12
It’s a full day stay at the lodge, refreshing, relaxing sharing ideas, swimming on the pools and gain strength. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner (meals) at the lodge. (Bush dinner may be arranged)
DAY 13
After a warm breakfast at Serengeti serena lodge at 08:00 am, start a full day game drive within Serengeti national park, a UNESCO world heritage site and seven wonders of Africa a huge park teeming with variety of predators both the cruel hunters and killers to stalkers and stranglers gliding effortlessly and beautiful nights with full of cricket chirrups.
Enjoy lunch at picnic site, after lunch do a short game drive and embark to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast at the lodge at around 08:00 am, start a full day game drive, with lunch at picnic site, after lunch do a short drive, embark to lodge for dinner and overnight stay. .
DAY 15
After a hearty breakfast at lodge, at around 08:00 am do a short game drive, heading out of the park with lunch at picnic site, then proceeds to Masai Land Lodge in Arusha for dinner and overnight stay. .
DAY 16
After a hearty breakfast at the lodge at 0900am, transfer to K.I.A to catch an international flight for departure. .
